Toronto, ON — Coin 8, the vintage-inspired photography and film studio recently opened it's doors to Torontonians for an open call Retro Picture Day Event.

The studio, known for its bold retro aesthetic and vintage-style portraiture, welcomed individuals for a fantastically retro photo session.

A creation space like never before!

Founded and designed by Nicola Yardy, Coin 8 is not your average production studio. Located in the Stock Yards, Toronto, Coin 8 is a daydream of vintage studio. Featuring a 100-year-old grand piano, colourful period furniture, and an array of vintage props, Yardy, crafted the studio’s aesthetic by hand-picking and arranging unique second-hand vintage pieces from all-over southern Ontario.

"The name "Coin 8" is inspired by the 8 of Pentacles Tarot card" said Yardy, "which symbolizes, dedication, persistence, and sacrifices needed on the road to mastery.

This card embodies our commitment to providing a creative, inspiring and unjudgemental space where artists can diligently hone their skills and achieve excellence in their craft."
